I keep coming back to this cozy lodge. The staff's warm welcome with a hot drink during my first visit stayed with me. It has everything I need: Wi-Fi, parking, AC, TV, laundry, VIP services. I'm looking forward to returning for Christmas!

I recently stayed at a hotel adjacent to Mikumi National Park and had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, right next to the main road and close to the park entrance. The large property offered a peaceful and quiet environment, with a short walking trail and a beautiful pool to relax in after long safaris. The staff were professional, friendly, and always made me feel at home. The owner ensured that everything ran smoothly and went above and beyond to resolve any minor issues. the hotel provided excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it.

the location was perfect, with just a short 30-minute ride to the main entrance of the national park. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with soft linen and mosquito nets on every bed. the staff were incredibly helpful and arranged a safari for us, even with a late request. the breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options.

Kids corner a pleasant surprise. Buffet and English breakfast were very good. Plain omelettes instead of scrambled eggs. Clean and comfortable bungalow. Superior customer service. Excellent driving and animal behavior explanation.

Friendly staff, big rooms, lovely pool. Enjoyed bird watching from the porch. Convenient location off the main road, but surprisingly quiet. A luxurious oasis in the middle of nowhere.

No shampoo in the shower. Because who needs clean hair when you can have a fabulous pool, right?

At Tan-Swiss Lodge, our family had an amazing time going on safaris organized by the hotel. Our children, who are all under 10 years old, were in awe of the incredible wildlife we encountered. Our knowledgeable guide, Samwell, made the experience even more memorable with his expertise and friendly demeanor. He was patient with our kids' endless questions, teaching them about the animals and their habitats. The lodge provided a safe and comfortable environment for our family to explore the wonders of Mikumi National Park. We highly recommend this experience to families with young explorers!

For dads, it would be great if the lodge offered more kid-friendly activities outside of safari tours.

We had an amazing stay at Tan-Swiss Lodge. The bungalow we stayed in was clean and comfortable, providing us with a cozy home away from home. The highlight of our trip was the private safari we booked with Samwel, the guide/driver recommended by the hotel. His knowledge and expertise allowed us to have an incredible 12-hour day, seeing lions, elephants, giraffes, and many more fascinating animals. The hotel's convenient location made it a great base for exploring Mikumi and Udzungwa National Parks. The pool was a welcome treat after a long day of adventures. The food at the buffet and during the English breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options. Despite some minor flaws, such as low water pressure in the shower and slow Wi-Fi, our overall experience was fantastic. We highly recommend Tan-Swiss Lodge for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

That some of the junior staff members lacked hospitality experience.

The kids corner was a positive surprise for traveling with children. The food at the restaurant was very tasty with reasonable prices. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The safari organized by the tour company was awesome. The location adjacent to the national park was excellent. The pool was clean and well-maintained. The commitment and friendliness of the staff was incredible.

We loved the great location with easy access to the main road and the nearby national park. the large property and walking trail provided a peaceful and relaxing environment. the pool, including a separate kids pool, was a fantastic amenity. the staff, many of whom spoke English well, were friendly and helpful. Being run by a friendly Swiss owner for two decades, we felt the hotel offered good value for money. the pizza was surprisingly tasty and the breakfast spread was delicious, including eggs, fresh fruit, coffee, sausages. the comfortable sunbeds with cushions and reliable WiFi throughout the property were also appreciated. the bungalows, complete with a fan and A/C, had lovely verandas, and we enjoyed the soothing sounds of nature. Being only 6km away from the national park entrance, it was a convenient location for us. the presence of TVs in the bungalows and complimentary water and soap were nice touches. the restaurant had a large seating area and the rooms and outside area were spacious.

Nothing I didn't like.

The bungalow at Tan-Swiss Lodge is cozy and charming, making you feel right at home. With a satellite TV, you can unwind and catch up on your favorite shows. The balcony is a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The private bathroom with a shower adds convenience to your stay. As an adventure traveler, I love the laid-back atmosphere and personal touch of this bungalow.

The only thing I personally found less appealing is the limited parking space. However, I understand that others may not have a problem with it and still enjoy the overall experience at Tan-Swiss Lodge.
